The best care for tasty and healthy fruit
We harvest our raspberries when they are beautifully red and ripe. Only the best quality is selected. After harvesting, the raspberries are immediately packed and cooled. Our companies meet the strictest standards and are certified Global Gap and FSSC.

Where are our raspberries grown?
We grow raspberries in tunnels at our location in Sint-Oedenrode. Here is also the packaging hall located where the raspberries are checked and packed. Immediately after packaging, the raspberries enter the cold store until they are transported to the supermarket. So you are assured of the best quality fresh raspberries!
Where can you buy our raspberries?
Our raspberries are sold in the supermarkets of Albert Heijn, all over the Netherlands. You can read where the raspberries come from on the packaging. Via the code on the packaging, we can trace the raspberries back to the plot and the day they were harvested! Would you like to know more about your fruit? We are happy to answer your question!
From plant to raspberry
We at Genson have the entire process from plant propagation to the ready-to-shelf delivery of the raspberries in our own hands. With passion, craftsmanship and innovation, our people grow the most flavorful raspberries. We do this in a sustainable way with care and attention for our natural environment.
Cultivation
We propagate and grow our plants under our own management in our aphid-free greenhouses. Sticks are grown into long canes. In outdoor cultivation, the plants are placed in tunnels from early spring onwards and later under protective covers. The plants are automatically supplied with water and fertilizer by means of drip hoses.
Crop protection
Our plants grow protected in tunnels or under rain caps. As a result, the weather has less influence on the crop and we can use biological means to protect the plants. In addition, non-organic crop protection agents are used to control other diseases. The MRL (maximum residue limit) is the legally permitted maximum residue of a substance in or on food. Our standards are at least 50% below this legal standard. So you can enjoy our raspberries carefree!
Bees and bumblebees
Our plants produce fruit through the use of bees and bumblebees. As soon as the flower is in bloom the bees and bumblebees go to work. Flower by flower is pollinated so fertilization takes place. After this the fruit starts to grow and turns from green to beautiful red. And then the raspberries are ripe to be carefully picked!
Harvest
From the beginning of June until the end of September we harvest our raspberries. Raspberries are very delicate fruits and should be picked carefully. Only the best quality, beautiful red and ripe fruit is selected. In the summer months you can enjoy this delicious healthy fruit to the fullest!
Packing
Our new packaging hall meets all hygiene requirements. The raspberries are weighed and checked here. Subsequently, the tray is provided with a foil with an imprint on it on which the origin can be read and the best-before date. In addition, a code is printed so that the raspberries can be traced. After packaging, the raspberries are immediately placed in the refrigerator where they wait to be transported to Albert Heijn.
Transport
The strawberries are picked up the same day or the next day by Bakker Barendrecht and delivered to Albert Heijn. Bakker Barendrecht is the buyer of fruit and vegetables for Albert Heijn. Close consultation with Bakker ensures that supply and demand are matched as much as possible. So you are assured of the freshest fruit.
