Strawberry plants
In our family business we have more than half a century of experience in strawberry cultivation. Like no other we know how to respond to the demands of the professional grower. We supply various varieties and plant types tailored to your cultivation system, including the Magnum, Malling™Centenary, Elsanta and Sonata varieties. Taste, shelf life and good yield are important criteria when choosing a variety. In our trial garden we test new varieties with which you can distinguish yourself on the market!
PLANT TYPES
Tray plants
We supply tray plants in various sizes. From mini tray plants to normal and heavy tray plants, in both June bearers and through-bearers and in different varieties. Tray plants are especially suitable for growing on substrate in greenhouses or in tunnels. We use our own cuttings which are cut from mid-June to mid-August and then planted in trays. From mid-October, the first tray plants are packed and stored in our cold stores. Delivery of the tray plants takes place in consultation with our customer.
VARIETIES
Elsanta is one of the most cultivated varieties. Elsanta is a juicy strawberry with a good taste and a strong strawberry aroma. The fruit is firm, conical in shape and shiny red in colour. The variety has a very high production and a good shelf life and is therefore extremely suitable for growers and traders. The variety is suitable for both indoor and outdoor crops and is grown on a large scale in large parts of Europe.

Falco is a short-day variety that produces large strawberries in mid-season. It is a very robust variety that performs best during long daytime periods.

- Shelf life: keeps well, not suitable for autumn cultivation
- Work: easy to pick

Gariguette gives very tasty, juicy strawberries with an excellent aroma. Gariguette is an early June-bearer and a well known variety in France for years. The fruits of Gariguette are somewhat fragile and have a limited shelf life.

Magnum® produces beautiful fruit with excellent flavor. It is an early to mid-early June bearer. Magnum® strawberries are large, medium to bright red and have a nice fruit shape and very good shelflife. The flavor is excellent, with a deliciously sweet note and a high Brix index. Magnum® has a high production potential and is excellent for growing on substrate with tray planting.

Malling™ Centenary is a mid-early June bearer with glossy light red strawberries with firm flesh and good shelf life. The variety produces attractive fruit with good flavor and little susceptibility to pressure spots. Because of its good shelf life, this variety is suitable for marketing on longer routes. It is a good alternative to Elsanta in normal and refrigerated cultivation. In addition, Malling™ Centenary has potential for early production in tunnels and greenhouses.

Sonata is a very tasty and beautiful fruit. This mid season June-bearer has an excellent fruit setting and produces beautiful, uniform fruits. The taste of Sonata never disappoints. The yield is high with a high percentage of first quality fruits. The variety is suitable for various crops from Scandinavia to the Alpine countries.

Developed by the Flevo Berry breeding program, Sonsation is the first introduction in the mid-season segment. The fruits of Sonsation are very attractive. They are bright red, conical in shape and very glossy. The calix is fresh and dark green. Sonsation retains its luster even under more difficult conditions and after a cold storage period.
