About the Position

Are you an enterprising account manager with an interest in the horticulture or agricultural sector? Do you speak German fluently, and do you thrive on customer interaction, building relationships, and pursuing business opportunities? If so, Genson Plants has an exciting opportunity for you.

As an Account Manager for the DACH region, you will serve as the point of contact for our customers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with a primary focus on Germany. This is an exciting and competitive market with plenty of opportunities. More and more growers are making the transition from open-field to greenhouse cultivation. With our strawberry and raspberry seedlings, we are directly responding to this trend.

In this role, you’ll build trust, maintain existing relationships, and gradually develop new opportunities with professional growers. You’ll have a great deal of freedom to manage your region in your own way, with support from a dedicated sales team and colleagues who have extensive knowledge of cultivation and the market.

Genson Plants is a leading supplier of high-quality young strawberry tray plants and raspberry plants. We handle the entire process in-house: from propagation and cultivation to packaging, cooling, and delivery.

Our customers are professional growers who rely on plant quality, reliable delivery, proper documentation, and a well-organized process. What are you going to do?

In this multifaceted role, you will work independently and with a focus on results to further develop our position in the DACH region. During the first year, the focus will be on building strong customer relationships, gaining a thorough understanding of the market, and establishing trust. Building on that foundation, you will continue to capitalize on commercial opportunities and deepen and expand partnerships with both existing and new customers. You will travel regularly throughout the DACH region. In addition, you will be in Sint-Oedenrode weekly Sint-Oedenrode coordinate with the team.

Visits, maintains, and expands the customer base in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
Discusses customer needs, cultivation issues, deliveries, and future orders
Converts customer information into quotes, forecasts, and orders
Identifies commercial opportunities in a market where there is high demand for high-quality plants
Carefully follow up on deliveries, appointments, and any complaints
Works closely with sales, cultivation, and operations
Represents Genson trade shows and events

What do you bring to the table?

Above all, we are looking for someone with strong commercial skills: someone who can easily connect with others, build trust, and is confident enough to engage in conversations even in a competitive market.

College-level work and thinking skills
Experience in a commercial field sales role, preferably in agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, supply, or a similar sector
An interest in horticulture, plants, or professional growers
Proficiency in German
Strong communication skills in Dutch and, preferably, English as well
An independent, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented approach to work
Willingness to travel regularly within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
